Sara Shuff, MSW, LICSW is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Affirmative Counseling. Sara's expertise include working with gender identity & sexuality issues, life transitions, childhood trauma, relationship issues, eating disorders, adolescents, depression, anxiety, grief & loss. She works from a strength based perspective using an array of traditional and holistic intervention techniques to assist her clients in healing and reaching their personal goals. Sara is inspired on a daily basis by the courage of those she works with, and feels honored by the many people who have trusted her with their vulnerability during the therapeutic process. She is particularly interested in working with alternative families, teens, and GLBT people. Kelly Heck, MSW, LICSW is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She received her Master's Degree in Social Work from Indiana University, studying in both Bloomington and Indianapolis. With a vision of serving young LGBT adults, she advocated to become the first graduate social work intern in the Indiana University Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Student Services Office. This vision of working with young adults has continued in her post-graduate career as she has provided services to children, adolescents, and families both through clinical social work and community involvement. In addition to individual, family, and group work, Kelly has experience in providing clinical supervision and consultation on a variety of mental health, behavioral health, and diversity issues.
